On May 9, ASTM International presented fire-fighting equipment to the Washington Hose and Steam Fire Company No. 1 (Washies) in Conshohocken. The donated Partner K saws and blades will benefit firefighters in gaining access to buildings via the roof. Taken at the firehouse, the photo shows (left to right) Washies Captain John McGrath , ASTM International Vice President of Technical Committee Operations Ken Pearson , and Washies Firefighter Paul Hunsinger.

On May 11, ASTM International formally presented the “Welcome to West Conshohocken” sign at the base of the Matsonford Bridge. As a proud corporate resident of West Conshohocken, ASTM International is pleased to donate funding to the Borough for the sign welcoming motorists and pedestrians as they enter West Conshohocken. Shown from left to right are: Marcy Rogovin, borough council vice-president; Robert Bendig, director of buildings and grounds for ASTM International, Michael Leonard, borough manager; Hanya Dwyer, borough council member; and Josephine Scharff, borough council president.
