Enhesa Database Now Available to Declarable Substance Committee Members

Members of ASTM International Committee F40 on Declarable Substances in Materials now have access to a powerful regulatory database that houses all regulations related to declarable substances. F40 members who log in to their MyASTM page on the ASTM International Web site will find a link to the Enhesa database.

Enhesa is a global environmental, health and safety consultancy that provides EHS regulatory compliance assurance to industry worldwide. The database that F40 members can access includes the following:

  • Current legislation, searchable by country;
  • Enforcement information, by country;
  • Future legislative proposals and white papers;
  • Links to important government Web sites; and
  • Analysis of legislative impacts.

Formed in 2005, Committee F40 addresses issues related to the development of standards for the evaluation of materials and products relative to RoHS (Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment) legislation. The committee meets twice a year, in April and November, and all interested parties are invited to join in its standards developing activities.
