ASTM Subcommittee F08.80 on Test Methods and Laboratory Procedures seeks laboratories to perform a wide variety of sports-related tests. Testing will support standards developed by ASTM Committee F08 on Sports Equipment and Facilities.

A wide variety of labs are sought. Testing to be done includes:

• Impact;
• Rubber/plastics;
• Soil;
• Facility—i.e., air quality and acoustical;
• Surface—i.e., slip and abrasion resistance; and
• Fatigue.

Testers will help to verify and standardize procedures devised for F08 standards, by:

• Setting standard test conditions and tolerances;
• Performing proficiency testing;
• Performing round-robin testing for precision and bias testing when their standards come up for review; and
• Evaluating new test methods to determine their feasibility and accuracy.
