Gaskets Topic of April Workshop in Las Vegas
The workshop, Focus Event II on Finite Element Analysis of Gaskets
and Materials for Use as Gaskets, will be offered on Wed., April
25, Imperial Palace, Las Vegas, Nev., 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.,
by ASTM Committee F03 on Gaskets.
The event is being organized to advance the science of gasketing
through the increased production of test standards with greater
function and meaning to users of industrial and transportation-related
gaskets. It will interest technicians, analysts, engineers, scientists,
and those producers, users, and general-interest persons involved
with the determination of selection, behavior, and prediction
of gaskets.
Presentations will be made by software developers, manufacturers
of gaskets and gasket materials, and users in both the industrial
and transportation sectors. Deadline for submission of prospective
papers with titles and abstracts is March 26.
