| 2006 Officers Training Workshop

ASTM International is proud to announce that we will conduct the 2006 Officers Training Workshop Sept. 11-12 at ASTM Headquarters in West Conshohocken, Pa. The Officers Training Workshop is a free, biennial event open to all committee officers, subcommittee chairs and those interested in learning more about ASTM. The workshop offers committee leaders the opportunity to attend a series of training modules presented by staff that describe various aspects of ASTM and the tools available to help you and your committees increase the effectiveness of the ASTM process.
Attendees will be able to select from a number of one- and two-hour training modules. The information provided in these classes will help new officers and subcommittee chairs perform their roles and will reinforce and refresh the knowledge base of experienced officers. Among the sessions to be offered are:
• Standard Development Timeline;
• ASTM Online;
• Handling Negative Votes or Comments;
• Officer and Subcommittee Chairman’s Duties and Responsibilities;
• ASTM in the National and International Arena; and
• New Activity Development and Strategic Planning.
Your committee is looking to you for guidance and leadership.
