Manufacturers Sought to Develop
Glove-Sizing Standard
Information on the methods used by glove manufacturers to size
knitted or cut and sewn industrial protective gloves is sought
by the ASTM Human Factors Subcommittee within Committee F23 on Protective Clothing.
This research will back standard guidance initiated by ASTM that
will offer a uniform range of measurement for protective gloves
made with jersey knit fabric. Ranges of length and width, and
their comparison to the anthropometric measurements of the hand
will be addressed for the benefit of purchasers, safety officers,
and manufacturers.
