Standards for Radiological Protection

Committee F23 on Protective Clothing welcomes all stakeholders in a discussion of standards for radiological protection, Wed, Jan. 15, 11 a.m., at the Hyatt Regency in Albuquerque, N.M. The group will discuss standards for protective clothing worn in nuclear accidents, terrorist attacks, nuclear-power generation, or when handling radiation equipment and radioactive waste.

Topics will include proposed test methods and specifications addressing the whole-clothing performance of protective garments, gloves, and footwear worn in radiological and nuclear environments. The group will also explore protective clothing for domestic preparedness.
