Manufacturers and Vendors of Continuous Emission/Fuel Monitors Sought for Standards Development

The On-Line/At-Line Analysis of Gaseous Fuels (D03.12) Subcommittee of ASTM Committee D03 on Gaseous Fuels is seeking manufacturers and vendors of on-line/at-line, continuous emission monitors and continuous fuel monitors to participate in standards development. The subcommittee is currently developing a “Standard Practice for On-Line/At-Line and Continuous Analysis for Sulfur Content of Gaseous Fuels” and a “Standard Practice for On-Line/At-Line and Continuous Analysis for BTU Content of Gaseous Fuels.” It seeks vendors and manufacturers to comment on these and future draft standards, protocols and guidelines prior to subcommittee ballot.
To participate, contact D03 members Louis D’Agostaro, DCG Partnership, or May Lew, Southern California Gas Company, Los Angeles, Calif.

The subcommittee develops specifications, practices, and guidelines relating to on-line and at-line analysis of gaseous fuels. It works closely with ASTM Subcommittee D03.01, Collection and Measurement of Gaseous Fuels, on issues related to sample collection from fuel lines.

For further technical information, contact subcommittee chairman Raul Dominguez, Jr., Ph.D., South Coast Air Quality Management Laboratory, Diamond Bar, Calif. (phone: 909/396-2225). Committee D03 meets June 17-18 in Norfolk, Va. For meeting or membership details, contact Gloria Collins, manager, Technical Committee Operations, ASTM International (phone: 610/832-9715). //
