John Nachtsheim Award - Guidelines
JOHN NACHTSHEIM AWARD
The John Nachtsheim Award is presented as a formal recognition for outstanding contributions to the work of ASTM Committee F25 on Shipbuilding. This award has been established in honor of John Nachtsheim, an esteemed member of F25 since 1983 for his outstanding leadership as one of the founding members of the Committee and whose technical and administrative support has established F25 as a strong growing organization in the field of shipbuilding standards.
RULES FOR SELECTION
The F25 Awards Task Group, chaired by a member appointed by the F25 Chairman, is responsible for the solicitation and selection of a recipient for this award.
Recommendations may be solicited from the Main Committee Officers, Subcommittee Chairmen, and Vice Chairmen, and other active members.
FORM OF THE AWARD
The Award shall consist of a suitable plaque whose associated costs shall be paid from the Committee F25 fund. The plaque shall contain engraved wording substantially as follows:
