Committee F12 Award of Excellence - Guidelines

    COMMITTEE  F12 AWARD OF EXCELLENCE

    ESTABLISHMENT OF THE AWARD

    The F12 Award of Excellence is conferred, as warranted, by Committee F12 on Security Systems and Equipment in recognition of meritorious contributions to the cause of voluntary standardization, specifically with respect to security systems and equipment standards. The award has been established by ASTM Committee F12, to recognize outstanding service to Committee F12.

    BASIS OF THE AWARD

    Any meritorious contribution, service, or activity by an individual or group of individuals that has significantly advanced the cause of voluntary standardization, specifically with respect to security systems and equipment.

    It is fitting for ASTM F12 to establish this award to annually recognize individuals in the security industry who have been influential in their efforts to develop and apply ASTM standards in this industry.

    FORM AND PRESENTATION OF THE AWARD

    Presentation of the F12 Award of Excellence to the recipient shall be made on an annual basis by the Chairman of Committee F12.

    The F12 Award of Excellence shall consist of a suitable walnut plaque with mounted ASTM Seal bearing the engraved citation and signed by the Chairman of Committee F12.

    The plaque shall be presented to the recipient at the October F12 Main Committee meeting and the presentation publicized in Standardization News

    The Recipients' name and year of receipt shall also be added to the Committee F12 wall plaque, which will be installed at Headquarters. The wall plaque shall measure approximately 26 x 32, and be constructed of walnut with brass nameplates.
