Achieving Low Carbon Construction in Buildings–The Importance of Standards is a workshop featuring industry leaders and government officials discussing various approaches to lower carbon construction. As the building sector accounts for approximately 40% of energy related CO2 emissions, there remains a focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Topics will examine the role of engaging stakeholders in standardization, developing energy efficient products, and research and development in achieving low carbon construction in buildings.
