The Journal of Forensic Sciences Historical Backfile (available on DVD in January 2006 and online in February 2006) contains all of the issues of the journal from January 1972 through December 2005. It is devoted to the publication of original investigations, observations, scholarly inquiries, and reviews in the various branches of the forensic sciences.

The Journal of Forensic Sciences is the official publication of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS).
