The Ethical Responsibilities of the Forensic Scientist: Exploring the Limits
Lucas, DM
Director, The Centre of Forensic Sciences, Ministry of the Solicitor General, Toronto, Ontario,Canada.

Abstract
This paper explores the ethical conflicts which confront the scientist working in the criminal justice field. Pressures to expand the sphere of conduct considered ethical may come from involvement with law enforcement and with the adversary system. Limits to this sphere, it is argued, are imposed by the ethics of science and individual morality.
