A total of 1743 standard samples is available for the spectrochemical analysis of aluminum and its alloys. All are secondary standards and consist of 182 disk samples from the Aluminum Company of America; 154 disk and rod samples from the Apex Smelting Co.; 731 disk and rod samples from the Aluminium Laboratories Ltd.; 64 disk samples from Morris P. Kirk and Son, Inc.; 22 rod samples from Johnson, Matthey, and Co., Ltd.; 27 rod samples from Wieland-Werke AG; 551 rod, cylinder, and disk samples from Pechiney-Service; 7 chip samples from the Bureau of Analysed Samples, Ltd.; and 3 chip samples from the National Bureau of Standards.
