Abstract

The size of this year's edition of the Bibliography and Abstracts on Electrical Contacts indicates that work in this field is continuing at a high level of activity. Of particular interest is the increase in the number of publications concerning the relation between circuit and circuit parameters and contact and switching operations. The Subject Index lists the same headings as were given in the 1952 and 1954 editions. Part of the Introduction of these editions is repeated here for reference. Most of the headings in the subject index will be self-explanatory. However, some of the headings are so broad that some additional information might be useful. For example, books which include the subject of electric contacts or cover the subject of electric contacts have been listed separately.
