In situ analyses were made in alloy carbides and manganese sulfide inclusions. Apparent heterogeneity is shown in the iron and vanadium contents of three neighboring M6C carbides, and the fact that VC carbides contain considerable amounts of alloying elements other than vanadium is illustrated. In a massive VC carbide no significant composition changes were observed in its center after tempering, and annealing heat treatments were conducted in vacuum. | ||
