Abstract

The continuous measurement of dissolved gases in water is discussed with special regard to selection of a method, the general methods which are available and the application of these methods to specific gases and conditions. Reference is made to the continuous measurement of dissolved oxygen, hydrogen, sulfur gases, methane, chlorine, and other gases found in water. It is observed that practical continuous recording apparatus has not been developed for all of the applicable methods which are mentioned.
