Material 2 had relaxation strengths low in comparison to Material 1. The low initial stress at 1100 F was only partly responsible, since the data show that the strength of Material 2 fell off with temperature and time more than Material 1. The comparative curves drawn are for initial stresses similar to those for the comparative curves of other steels.
