Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to provide information on the development of a volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions testing program for hard surface floor covering products. After providing historical information on the development of VOC emissions testing programs for interior finishes, the paper discusses the factors considered and steps taken by the Resilient Floor Covering Institute (RFCI) to design the FloorScore Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Certification Program.
