Abstract

This paper presents the results of beam tests made on honeycomb sandwiches fabricated with 3003-H19 aluminum expanded honeycomb, 7075-T6 clad aluminum facings, and Epon X adhesive, the core densities being varied from 2.3 to 8.1 Ib per cu ft, the core thicknesses from 1/4 to 1 in., the facing thicknesses from 0.016 to 0.091 in., the span lengths from 5.4 to 15 in., and the temperatures from room temperature to 260 F.
