Abstract

Infrared thermography is the science of detecting infrared radiation and relating it to temperature. Infrared thermography has many potential uses in skiing safety. Several applications are presented in the areas of thermal analysis of clothing, thermal analysis of ski boots, analysis of composite materials, impact testing, and search and rescue.
