View License Agreement Ultrasonic standards for evaluating internal discontinuities in high-temperature forgings, weldments, and brazed joints are discussed. The relatively large differences in ultrasonic attenuation between different materials show that requirements for reference test blocks should be based on ultrasonic properties rather than chemical composition or other attributes of the material. Several applications of specialized ultrasonic inspection techniques used on brazed joints and weldments are described. | ||
