View License Agreement The requirements of the aircraft and missile industries for hydraulic fluids for use under severe operating conditions have greatly accelerated development and testing of new fluids. Most of the critical tests have involved high temperatures or such unusual environments as nuclear radiation. These tests have generally involved nonstandard methods; it has been up to each experimenter to select his own. Military specifications and contract requirements have often suggested the test methods used. This paper covers the results of some of the methods used recently at California Research Corp., partly as work done under contract to the U.S. Air Force. | ||
