Abstract

Type 550 differs chemically from Inconel “X” with respect to higher aluminum and adjusted titanium, and slightly higher carbon content. These changes result in higher rupture properties than those for Inconel “X”, particularly in the. temperature range of about 1400 to 1800 F. Data sheets No. 1 and No. 2 of this section represent the Inconel “X” Type 550 modification.
