Solution heat treatment is done by holding parts for 1 hr at 2100 F followed by an oil or water quench. Aging is done for 20 hr at 1500 F and slowly cooled to 1350 F and held at this temperature for 5 hr followed by air cooling. The heat treatment can be varied depending upon the parts to be produced and specific application.
