View License Agreement Approximately a year and a half ago the Advisory Committee of Technical Division F decided that it would be desirable to hold a symposium on diesel fuel oils from the aspect of the consumers, the diesel engine builders, and the diesel fuel producers. This had resulted from the Regular Common Carriers Council's interest in obtaining cleaner and more uniform diesel fuel. The RCC had also expressed the need for better fluidity at low temperatures and better all-round performance of the fuels available to the trucking operators throughout the United States. As a result of this and other factors, this Symposium has been organized to answer many of the questions related to diesel fuels, and it will no doubt provoke more questions. A brief review of the latest available statistics (U.S.) on diesel fuels is presented to orient the purpose of the Symposium. | ||
