This method is used for determining the channeling characteristics of lubricants at low temperature. It consists of storing the sample for 18 hours at the temperature required by the specification, cutting a channel in the lubricant with a metal strip, and determining whether the lubricant flows together to cover the bottom of the container within 10 seconds.
