The test methods outlined herein have been, or are being, used in various laboratories for determining the physical properties of parallel filament reinforced plastics. Some of these methods are in common use while others may be peculiar to a particular laboratory. Nomenclature and equations given for calculation of strength and stiffness properties are, for the most part, those used by the laboratory employing the method. In those few instances in which the equations were not given by the source, pertinent equations have been supplied by the author.
