    Abstract

    This method covers the photometric determination of soluble silica in high-purity water, such as steam condensate, effluent from silica-removing ion-exchange beds, or any other high-purity water whose silica content does not exceed 1000 ppb. . 1.—Samples containing more than 1000 ppb silica should be analyzed by one of the procedures described in the Methods of Test for Silica in Industrial Water and Industrial Waste Water (ASTM Designation: D 859).
