View License Agreement (a) These methods cover the determination of silica in industrial water and industrial waste water. The following three methods are included: Sections Referee Method (Gravimetric Method) 5 to 11, Non-Referee Method A (Colorimetric Method) 12 to 20, Non-Referee Method B (Colorimetric Method) 21 to 29, (b) The Referee Method covers gravimetric, acid-dehydration procedures; it is independent of interferences, and is a primary measure of total silica in water. The Non-Referee Methods are colorimetric determinations, and are secondary measures of crystalloidal (noncolloidal) silica in that they must be standardized against the Referee Method or primary silica standards. | ||
