Abstract

This method presents recommendations as to the nature, extent, and form in which the results of analysis of industrial water and industrial waste water should be presented. All analyses are to be made in accordance with the methods of test of the American Society for Testing Materials, unless otherwise specified. 1.—While various other methods of reporting the analysis of industrial water and industrial waste water are in use, this method is intended as a rational and comprehensive practice for general application. For use in specific industries or individual cases, hypothetical combinations of certain ions may be useful and desirable.
