The Measurement of Elastic Modulus of Titanium Alloys

Source

The determination of the elastic constants of metals by dynamic methods is well known and has been reported in the literature by many investigators. A large variety of test devices has been employed and all are characterized by relatively high precision. This paper undertakes to review the fundamentals of the dynamic test methods and to describe both the device used and the results obtained in a recent investigation of titanium alloys.
