Abstract

The objective of this paper is to discuss the generally accepted methods of testing “cemented” carbide materials. Four groups of tests are outlined, and their utility to both manufacturer and user is enlarged upon. One conclusion is that intelligent use of these accepted methods will promote better understanding and more intelligent application of the materials. A second conclusion is that additional standard methods of examination must be developed.
