Abstract

The German specification ATV A 127 for static calculation of buried gravity pipes made of rigid and flexible materials is introduced. To show the handling of this regulation only for flexible pipes the set of equations is reduced to what is needed for those materials. Rules are given to work out the different types of loading and support conditions. Finally it is stated where the weak parts are and what should be done to modify it for flexible gravity and pressure pipes.
