Abstract

In March, 1950, a Task Group, under the Subcommittee on Elastic Strength of Materials, of ASTM Committee E-1 on Methods of Testing, was appointed under the chairmanship of the author “to survey the work done in determining the elastic constants of materials and to recommend suitable methods for the determination of elastic moduli.”
