Abstract

Wind-uplift resistance of nailed-construction built-up roofs is a function of the withdrawal strength of the fastener and the pull-through resistance of the base sheet. As a means for facilitating evaluation of base sheets, a nail pull-through test applicable to saturated felts and coated base sheets has been developed.
