Radioactive Waste Processing Control, Shippingport Atomic Power Station

Source

The safe disposal of radioactive waste is a problem common to all nuclear reactors. In a pressurized water reactor (PWR) plant, the major source of these wastes is the primary coolant. At the Shippingport Atomic Power Station, all potentially radioactive liquid wastes are handled and processed in a waste disposal plant.
