Abstract

Climatic aspects of the California Coastal area are reviewed with particular reference to the air pollution potential of the region. It can be shown that weather factors favorable to air pollution occurrences are present all along the California Coast and that in many areas these are not much different from those existing in Los Angeles. Smog in other areas is not as severe because, as yet, the pollutant emissions are less.
