Abstract

Many years of soil testing by state highway departments and by county and city engineering forces has made available a great wealth of test data which has considerable potential for use in local and regional road planning, particularly as related to road needs and to comparison analyses of construction requirements and costs in various local areas, counties, and regions of a state.
