Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to compare the synthetic rubbers with each other and with natural rubber as regards the physical properties of their vulcanized compounds. Only those synthetic rubbers used in large tonnages are included, and only those properties important to the users of rubber goods are discussed. The aim is to show the good properties and also the limitations of each kind of rubber as indicated by laboratory data.
