Abstract

The procedure for evaluating tar-soil mixtures is subdivided into three suggested methods of test, as follows: (a) Method of Test for Moisture-Density Relations (Sections 11 to 15), (b) Method of Test for Shear Resistance After Immersion in Water (Sections 16 to 20), and (c) Method of Test for Moisture-Consistency Relationship of Soil Fines (Sections 21 to 24). The procedure for arriving at recommendations for construction of stabilized tar-soil bases is given in Sections 2 to 10.
