Abstract

This method of test is intended to determine the quantity of cutback asphalt necessary for stabilizing sandy soils. This quantity of cutback asphalt is based on a determination of the mechanical analysis, surface area, organic matter in the soil alone and on density, stability, absorption and artificial weathering tests of the soil with various percentages of cutback asphalt.
