Abstract

This method of test is intended to provide a rapid procedure for determining the relation between the stress and strain in a compressed soil sample under various constant lateral pressures. The procedure may be used for the testing of undisturbed specimens or specimens molded from disturbed soils. Test specimens having dimensions other than those specified may be used provided the height is equal to or greater than twice the diameter.
