Abstract

This method is intended primarily for use in determining an approximate measure of the permeability of granular and semigranular material for use as selected subbase for highway pavements and as granular backfill for pipe. It is designed to provide a method of test on compacted granular and semigranular soils where a high degree of accuracy is not required.
