    Abstract

    This method of test is intended for determining the coefficient of permeability of granular cohesionless materials in the “disturbed” state. It is intended for materials finer than gravel, and great care should be exercised in interpreting the results of tests run on any material containing particles which will not pass a No. 10 (2000-micron) sieve.
