Suggested Method of Test for Permeability of Undisturbed Soil or Rock Specimens

Source

This method of test is intended to determine the permeability of core specimens of undisturbed soils. The test procedure and equipment were developed to test standard undisturbed specimens 3¼ in. in diameter by 3-in. minimum length, or standard core sizes up to 9 in. in length. Remolded soil specimens with or without admixtures may also be tested by this means if desired. For soils, the test is usually limited to those having a maximum particle size of ¼ in.
