Abstract

Derivatives of cellulose used in paint and related materials include the inorganic ester, the nitrate; the organic esters, the acetate, acetate-propionate, and acetatebutyrate; the ethers, methyl and ethyl, and some of their derivatives, such as the hydroxy ethyl, the hydroxypropyl ethyl, and the carboxymethyl.
