Abstract

Packaged, Dry, Combined Materials for Mortar and Concrete was covered in the two previous editions of ASTM special technical publications, ASTM STP 169A and ASTM STP 169B. Professor A. W. Brust, the Department of Civil Engineering, Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri, was the original author of this chapter for STP 169A. A. C. Carter, Manager of Quality Assurance, Texas Industries, Inc., Arlington, Texas, updated the chapter in ASTM STP 169B. Additional prepackaged cementitious products now covered by ASTM specifications required a change in title for this chapter to adequately reflect the content thereof. This edition covers these additional products and suggests where additional specification activity may be required as even more packaged, dry, cementitious products become available to the construction industry.
