Abstract

The subject of nondestructive testing of concrete was covered in ASTM STP 169A and ASTM STP 169B. The chapter in ASTM STP 169 was entitled “Dynamic Tests” and was authored by E. A. Whitehurst, whereas the chapter in ASTM STP 169B was entitled “Nondestructive Tests,” and was authored by E. A. Whitehurst and V. M. Malhotra. This chapter updates the information presented in the previous publications and, in addition, includes the discussion of new ASTM standards on the subject.
