Abstract

The chemical analysis of concrete was covered in ASTM STP 169 by H. F. Kriege. Dr. L. John Minnick provided an excellent discussion of methods for the analysis of concrete in ASTM STP 169A. The present writer extended the discussions in ASTM STP 169B to include analytical methods for other concrete components. The present edition addresses enacted and proposed changes to the ASTM procedures for cement content analyses, and extends the discussions of analyses of concrete for other components. Accordingly, the title has been broadened from the “Cement Content” of the prior two editions.
